Mon Repos Conservation Park
Famous for its marine turtles, Mon Repos Conservation Park is home to Woongarra rainforest remnants, mangroves, a tidal lagoon and other historic sites. Flatback, Loggerhead and Green turtles are just some whom nest on the accessible mainland beach. It is the perfect place for wildlife lovers to take a stroll along the beach, watch the birds and explore rock pools. Night tours are available from November to March, book in advance as it is a popular attraction, to get a closer look at the nesting turtles and their eggs. You might even witness hatchlings emerging from their nests!
Lady Musgrave Island Dive Sites
Lady Musgrave Island sits on the Great Barrier Reef. The site has 14 world-class dive sites, plus shallow areas for you to enjoy snorkelling and coral gardens for you to swim in. Manta rays, stingrays, sea snakes, reef sharks, turtles, colourful reef fish are just a few of the sea creatures you’ll come up close and personal with snorkelling at Lady Musgrave Island.
Hinkler Hall of Aviation
The ultimate must-see attraction for tourists visiting Bundaberg is The Hinkler Hall of Aviation. This thrilling yet educational experience celebrates pioneer and solo aviator Bert Hinkler.
