Please stay on the beaten track and only get into licensed taxis at licensed ranks. The roads in the USA are a lot different to the UK so please familiarise with the lanes and junctions etc before crossing the road.

Avoid the city’s alleyways, at night especially, and one should take care around the Chinatown district as well.
